Parent Expectations

I understand that failure to follow Club expectations (communicated in the Parent Handbook and throughout the season) – in the sole judgment of the MGBC Board – is grounds for expulsion from the Booster Club, which would also forfeit my earned eligibility credits and any rights to distribution of fundraising earnings.  I understand that these expectations apply to me whether I opt IN or OUT of the Booster Club.

Staying Informed

• I have read and agree to follow the Parent Handbook (linked above for reference)

• I have attended live, or reviewed the slides of the Season Kickoff Meeting

• I agree to attend all Booster Club meetings, or review the slides if I am unable to attend live  

• I agree to regularly check my email, the Booster Club website and the Band App for Booster Club communications

Financial

• I agree to pay all invoices when due

• I understand that Athlete Fees are non-refundable  

• I understand and will follow all invoicing rules and policies in the Parent Handbook

• I understand that failure to pay Booster Club invoices will result in my child being withdrawn (or not registered) for competitions 

• I understand that the Board will reconcile Athlete Fees at the end of the Booster Club's fiscal year and that:

  • (1) I agree to timely pay any shortfall between my estimated/paid fees and the actual fees incurred

  • (2) the Board will not conduct mid-season reconciliation under any circumstances (i.e., if an Athlete leaves the gym mid-season, all fee reconciliations will still happen at the end of the fiscal year in June)

• As a 501(c)(3) organization, I understand that I have no individual claim or right to fundraising earnings whatsoever, and funds are distributed according to policies and procedures set forth by the Board

Behavior

• I have read and will follow the Respectful Communications policy in the Handbook.  Gossiping and/or negative behavior from the parent or Athlete will not be tolerated.

• I understand that the Booster Club is a separate entity from the Gym, and that the non-profit Booster Club is run entirely by parent volunteers.  I agree to treat my fellow parents and Booster Club volunteers with respect and courtesy.    

• I understand that coaching decisions and training plans (including practice groups) are unique to each child, and I will avoid drawing comparisons between Athletes.

• I agree that willfully failing to complete tasks that I committed to complete on behalf of the Booster Club (without a satisfactory transition plan approved by the Board) will result in loss of all earned eligibility credits.
